Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley Are Engaged After More Than a Year Together
Billy Ray Cyrus proposed to Elizabeth Hurley after more than a year of dating, sources confirmed to Page Six on Friday. The news follows days of hints, including a diamond ring in Hurley's Instagram photos and a cryptic ring emoji from Cyrus.
Billy Ray Cyrus, 65, has proposed to Elizabeth Hurley, 61, after more than a year of dating, sources confirmed to Page Six on Friday.

The couple telegraphed the news all week. Hurley wore a large diamond in an Instagram post on Monday, sparking engagement rumors. A source told Page Six, “She’s filming ‘The ‘Burbs’; I hardly think this ring is a prop.” Cyrus then posted a ring emoji on Thursday, and Hurley’s son, Damian, liked the post with a celebratory emoji.
From film set to farm life
The pair went public on Easter Sunday in 2025. They first met on the set of the 2022 holiday film “Christmas in Paradise” and reconnected in February 2025, according to Page Six.
Hurley told Page Six in May that the two bond over country living rather than city life: Cyrus keeps a farm in Tennessee, and Hurley has one in Gloucestershire, England. “In a way it kind of feels normal,” she said. On the “SheerLuxe” podcast earlier this month, she said there are “a lot more similarities than you’d think” between them.

A fourth wedding for Cyrus
The engagement sets up a fourth marriage for the country singer. He was married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991, to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2023, and to singer Firerose from 2023 to 2024. He has six children, including singer Miley Cyrus.
For Hurley, it would be her second marriage. She was in a long-term relationship with actor Hugh Grant from 1987 to 2000 and has a son, Damian, with the late producer Steve Bing. She later married Indian businessman Arun Nayar in 2007, divorcing in 2011, and was engaged to Australian cricketer Shane Warne from 2011 until their split in 2013.

A representative for Cyrus could not be reached for comment, Page Six reported.
