The Tennessee Titans released veteran defensive lineman Jordan Elliott on Tuesday after what the team described as an incident at its facility last week.
“On Thursday, October 15, there was an incident at our team facility involving Jordan Elliott,” the team said in a statement. “Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will have no further comment on the matter.”

Elliott had signed a two-year, $8 million deal with the Titans during the offseason, according to USA Today. He appeared in five games for Tennessee this season, making one start and logging 11 tackles.
A quiet end after an offseason signing
A third-round selection by the Cleveland Browns in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Missouri, Elliott has appeared in 102 games with 65 starts, totaling 159 tackles and five sacks across stints with the Browns, the San Francisco 49ers and the Titans.

The Titans also announced a pair of practice squad moves Tuesday: defensive back Erick Hallett signed to the practice squad, and linebacker Chase Wilson was waived from it.
