Coco Gauff will play for the United States in a Billie Jean King Cup qualifying tie against Hungary at the Delray Beach Tennis Center on Nov. 21-22, according to The Palm Beach Post.

The Post reported that the full five-player U.S. roster is scheduled to be announced on Oct. 21, with Jessica Pegula also a leading candidate. Gauff, 22 and from Delray Beach, is a two-time Grand Slam champion, according to the Post.

A home-court return in a qualifying tie

According to The Palm Beach Post, Gauff did not play in the competition in 2024 or 2025, and the United States did not reach the 2026 Finals. The tie against Hungary is a qualifier for a place in the 2027 event. The format is best-of-five, with four singles matches and one doubles match, and the winner advances into pool play for 2027, according to the Post.

The Post noted that the U.S. team is unbeaten in four previous ties in Delray Beach, most recently in 2023, when Gauff and Pegula helped sweep Austria. For this year’s tie, two-day ticket packages are on sale through Ticketmaster, with single-day tickets set to go on sale Oct. 7, according to the Post. Saturday is scheduled for two singles matches, with Sunday featuring the doubles and the remaining singles.
