Titans Agree to Trade Jeffery Simmons to Bears for Two First-Round Picks, Reports Say
The Tennessee Titans have agreed to trade defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears for two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick, according to multiple reports, in a deal that also sends a fifth-round pick to Chicago.
The Tennessee Titans have agreed to trade defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears, according to multiple reports, in a deal built around two first-round draft picks.
Under the reported terms, Chicago receives Simmons and a 2028 fifth-round pick. Tennessee receives first-round picks in 2027 and 2028, plus a fourth-round pick in 2027, NBC Sports reported.

What Chicago gets
Simmons, 29, is a four-time Pro Bowler and was named a first-team All-Pro for the first time last season. He had a career-high 11.0 sacks, with 17 tackles for loss and 21 quarterback hits, in 2025, NBC Sports reported.
In seven games this season, Simmons has recorded 4.0 sacks, six tackles for loss and nine quarterback hits, according to NBC Sports. The Bears’ defense ranks No. 8 in yards allowed and No. 9 in points allowed, NBC Sports reported.
Chicago is 5-2 and in the hunt for a playoff spot, according to the New York Post. The trade comes less than two weeks before the NFL trade deadline on November 10.

Simmons told reporters on Wednesday that, as far as he knew, he was not going to be traded before the deadline, NBC Sports reported. He had agreed to a three-year, $105.8 million contract extension with Tennessee before the season.
What Tennessee gets
The two first-round picks give Tennessee draft capital for a rebuild, while Chicago adds a proven interior lineman for a playoff push. Sports Illustrated reported that the Bears had been seen as a possible aggressive buyer ahead of the deadline, and that the deal follows recent trades that sent guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to San Francisco.

The reports describe an agreement between the teams. The terms reported by NBC Sports and other outlets match on the picks going to Tennessee and the fifth-round pick going to Chicago.
