Caleb Williams threw for 247 yards, D'Andre Swift ran for three touchdowns and Jeffery Simmons had a sack in his debut as Chicago beat Seattle 34-17 on Monday night.
The Chicago Bears beat the defending champion Seattle Seahawks 34-17 on Monday night at Lumen Field in Seattle, improving to 6-2 with their third straight win. Seattle fell to 4-4 after losing for the third time in four games.
Caleb Williams completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and one touchdown, with no turnovers and one sack taken, against one of the NFL’s stingiest defenses. He led a 17-play, 80-yard drive on Chicago’s opening possession, ending with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Luther Burden.
Swift scores three times
D’Andre Swift ran for three short touchdowns, finishing with 27 carries for 69 yards. His third score, from 5 yards with 4:41 left, came after Sam Darnold’s fourth-quarter interception and made the score 34-17. Darnold completed 17 of 34 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception.

Simmons makes an impact in his debut
Jeffery Simmons, acquired last week from Tennessee in a trade that included two first-round picks, had a sack on the opening drive, six tackles and a pass defended in his first game for Chicago. The Bears held Seattle to 252 yards and one third-down conversion in 11 tries.
Seattle closed to 20-17 in the fourth quarter after Darnold’s 7-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Kupp and a two-point conversion, but Chicago scored the final 14 points. The loss ended a 30-game streak in which Seattle had not lost by more than four points in the regular season and playoffs.
