Chandler Smith won the Black’s Tire 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway on Friday, passing teammate Layne Riggs on the final restart to take the checkered flag.

Smith, driving the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports Ford, lined up to the outside of Riggs on the last restart while Riggs, in the No. 34, defended the bottom lane. Smith got past him to win a race in which Riggs had swept the first two stages.

Riggs still left Martinsville with something to show for the night. By sweeping the first two stages and finishing third, he cut Kaden Honeycutt’s lead in the standings to 20 points with one race to go.
