ATLANTA — The Los Angeles Dodgers are headed back to the National League Championship Series. Andy Pages came through with a two-run single in the seventh inning on Wednesday, lifting Los Angeles to a 4-1 win over the Atlanta Braves in Game 4 and closing out the National League Division Series three games to one, according to Reuters.

Pages finished with two of the Dodgers’ five hits and drove in two of their three runs batted in. His seventh-inning single was the club’s first hit with runners in scoring position in the series after an 0-for-14 start, according to the report.

Bullpen closes the door after Glasnow exits early

Starter Tyler Glasnow lasted 4 1/3 innings, allowing one run on one hit while walking five and striking out five, according to Reuters. Relievers Alex Vesia, Edgardo Henriquez, Tanner Scott and Edwin Diaz combined for 4 1/3 scoreless innings the rest of the way, retiring the final seven Atlanta batters in order. Henriquez picked up his first career postseason victory and Diaz recorded his second save of the series, the report said.

Max Muncy added a solo home run in the ninth inning, his third of this postseason, to provide the final margin. Atlanta starter Tyler Mahle took the loss despite allowing two runs, one earned, over 6 1/3 innings, according to Reuters.

Atlanta’s bats go quiet with runners on

The Braves scored first when a wild pitch brought home Michael Harris II in the opening inning, but their trouble hitting with runners in scoring position defined the series: Atlanta finished 1-for-23 in those situations across the four games, according to the report. Harris had two of the Braves’ three hits in the finale.

Los Angeles, looking to become the first National League club to win three straight World Series, now awaits the winner of the other NLDS between Milwaukee and San Diego. The Brewers led that series 2-1 heading into Wednesday night’s game, according to Reuters.
