Jay-Z to Headline Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium
The NFL announced Monday that Jay-Z will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, his first time performing on the halftime stage after years of producing the show through Roc Nation.
The National Football League announced Monday that Jay-Z will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show, which will take place Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The announcement came during halftime of Monday Night Football’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys, according to USA Today. The game will air on ABC and ESPN and stream on Disney+ and the ESPN app, according to Reuters.

A first performance after years behind the scenes
Jay-Z’s company, Roc Nation, has produced the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019, and he has had a hand in picking each year’s performer, Reuters reported. The 2027 show will be his first time performing on the halftime stage himself.
“For several years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, and I’ve seen the extraordinary impact he has had on the Super Bowl Halftime Show,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him.”

The venue, and the act before him
Jay-Z closed his “Jay-Z 30” concert series with two shows at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 23 and 24, USA Today reported. Those shows included guest appearances by John Legend, DJ Khaled, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and his daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
He follows Bad Bunny, who headlined the halftime show at the last Super Bowl, according to Reuters. His wife, Beyonce, headlined the halftime show in 2013 and returned as a guest performer in 2016, USA Today reported.
