Minshew threw three touchdown passes and completed 17 of 23 passes for 188 yards. He replaced Jacoby Brissett, who had thrown an interception and been sacked four times, with 119 passing yards on 10 of 23 passing. Minshew led four straight touchdown drives to close regulation.

A 63-yard run starts the comeback

Tyler Allgeier ran for 147 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, including a 63-yard score late in the third quarter that cut the Dallas lead to 17-10. It was the longest run of his five-year career, according to Reuters. Dallas answered with a 5-yard touchdown run by Dak Prescott to restore a 14-point lead at the end of a 62-yard drive that lasted 97 seconds.

Minshew threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Allgeier with 10:47 left to cut the lead to 24-17. After a roughing-the-passer penalty kept a drive alive, Minshew found tight end Trey McBride, who was uncovered on a 14-yard score, to make it 27-24 with 2:11 left. Dallas recovered the onside kick and Brandon Aubrey kicked a 41-yard field goal with 1:09 left for a 30-24 lead.

A missed kick, then a winner

Arizona drove to the Dallas 13, and Minshew threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Michael Wilson with six seconds left. Chad Ryland pulled the extra point wide left, and the game went to overtime instead of ending as a 31-30 Arizona win. Wilson caught eight passes for 111 yards.

In overtime, Josh Sweat sacked Prescott to end the first Dallas drive. Arizona moved 44 yards in eight plays, and Ryland kicked a 42-yard field goal for the win. The Cardinals outgained the Cowboys 467-261 and rushed for 202 yards. Prescott finished 19 of 29 for 195 yards. Both teams are 3-5.

Dallas safety Caleb Downs was ruled out in the fourth quarter after being checked for a concussion, and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and safety P.J. Locke also left the game early, according to Reuters. Arizona running back Jeremiyah Love left with a right ankle injury and did not return.
